The Alaska Zoo sits on 25 wooded acres located in the beautiful hillside area of Anchorage. We are home to over 100 birds and mammals. We are the only zoo in Alaska and are proud to be celebrating our 40th anniversary of serving both the people and wildlife in our state. Our mission is to promote the conservation of Arctic, Sub-Arctic and like-climate species through education, research and community enrichment.
